It was a wonderful celebration for mothers last Friday in the O’Connell Building at St Paul’s. Staff and Dads donned their aprons to cook and serve breakfast to over 300 hungry students accompanied by their mum, grandmother, and other significant person for Mother’s Day. An annual event on the calendar, we look forward to this event as it provides an opportunity to thank the ‘mums’ in our school community for everything they do within our school. It was memorable to see our mums and children taking the time to catch up with each other. All families generously donated a gold coin in support of breast cancer.
Thank you to all families and parents who donated their time to source gifts for the Mother’s Day raffle and the Arena family who donated the delicious bread from their bakery. Following breakfast, many mums took the opportunity to visit their child’s classroom to observe their learning. Students later visited the Mother’s Day stall, co-ordinated by our wonderful Parent Committee.
Thank you and Happy Mother’s Day to all!
